This Order designates specific federal ministers for several Acts and repeals two earlier Order in Council paragraphs.
Order Designating Ministers under Certain Federal Acts His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 8 of the Agreement on Internal Trade Implementation Acta, designates the Minister of Industry, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of any provision of that Act; S.C. 1996, c. 17 pursuant to the definition Minister in section 2 of the Canada Travelling Exhibitions Indemnification Actb, designates the Minister of Canadian Heritage, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of that Act; S.C. 1999, c. 29 pursuant to paragraph (d) of the definition appropriate Minister in section 2 of the Financial Administration Actc and subparagraph (a)(ii) of the definition appropriate Minister in subsection 83(1) of that Act, R.S., c. F-11 repeals paragraph (b) of Order in Council P.C. 1993-1450 of June 25, 1993d, and SI/93-104 repeals paragraph (b) of Order in Council P.C. 1993-1982 of December 2, 1993e; SOR/93-536 pursuant to the definition Ministerf in section 2 of the Industrial Design Actg, designates the Minister of Industry, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of that Act; R.S., c. 10 (4th Supp.), s. 20(2) R.S., c. I-9 pursuant to section 3 of the Mackenzie Gas Project Impacts Fund Acth, designates the Minister of the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, to be the Minister for the purposes of that Act; S.C. 2013, c. 40, s. 282 pursuant to the definition Ministeri in section 2 of the Museums Actj, designates the Minister of Canadian Heritage, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister responsible for the National Gallery of Canada, the Canadian Museum of History, the Canadian Museum of Nature, the National Museum of Science and Technology, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 for the purposes of that Act; and S.C. 2014, c. 20, s. 194 S.C. 1990, c. 3 pursuant to section 4 of the Nuclear Liability and Compensation Actk, designates the Minister of Natural Resources, a minister of the Crown, to be the Minister referred to in that Act. S.C. 2015, c. 4, s. 120 This Order is effective November 4, 2015.
