Billiard Cloth Remission Order, 1996

Order Respecting the Remission of Customs Duties on Billiard Cloth for the Manufacture or Repair of Billiard Tables His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 101 of the Customs Tariff*, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Order respecting the remission of customs duties on billiard cloth for the manufacture or repair of billiard tables. R.S., c. 41 (3rd Supp.) This Order may be cited as the Billiard Cloth Remission Order, 1996. Subject to section 3, remission is hereby granted of the customs duties paid or payable under Schedule I to the Customs Tariff on billiard cloth, of tariff item Nos. 5111.19.00 or 5112.19.10, for the manufacture or repair of billiard tables. The remission is granted pursuant to section 2 on the condition that: the billiard cloth is imported into Canada during the period commencing on July 1, 1995 and ending on December 31, 1997; and a claim for remission is made to the Minister of National Revenue within three years of the date of importation of the goods for which remission is claimed.
