Wildlife Area Regulations [Repealed, SOR/2020-256, s. 2] In these Regulations, Act means the Canada Wildlife Act; (Loi) adult means a person who is 18 years of age or over; (adulte) animal means any animal belonging to a species that is wild by nature or that is not easily distinguishable from such a species; (animal) bismuth shot[Repealed, SOR/2020-256, s. 3] child[Repealed, SOR/2018-113, s. 1] designated means designated by the Minister under subsection 3.2(1); (désigné) domestic animal means a vertebrate that has been domesticated by humans; (animal domestique) family[Repealed, SOR/99-95, s. 1] firearm means any barrelled weapon from which any shot, bullet or other missile can be discharged; (arme à feu) general interpretation services[Repealed, SOR/99-95, s. 1] habitat has the same meaning as in subsection 2(1) of the Species at Risk Act; (habitat) hunt means to chase, pursue, worry, molest, follow after or on the trail of, stalk or lie in wait for or shoot for the purpose of taking animals, whether or not the animal is subsequently captured, killed or injured; (chasser) interpretation services means an activity that involves the interpretation of wildlife and is carried out in the Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area; (services d’interprétation) lead jig means a weighted hook, used for fishing, that weighs less than 50 g and contains more than 1% lead by weight; (turlutte plombée) lead sinker means a sinker that weighs less than 50 g and contains more than 1% lead by weight; (lest en plomb) Minister[Repealed, SOR/94-594, s. 4] non-toxic shot means any shot composed, by weight, of up to 100% iron, tungsten, tin or bismuth, alone or in any combination of those substances, not more than 45% copper, not more than 40% nickel, not more than 7% Nylon 6, Nylon 11 or ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer, alone or in any combination of those substances, and not more than1% all other substances combined; (grenaille non toxique) permit[Repealed, SOR/94-594, s. 4] plant[Repealed, SOR/2020-256, s. 3] residence has the same meaning as in subsection 2(1) of the Species at Risk Act; (résidence) senior means a person who is 65 years of age or over; (aîné) sinker means an object used to sink a fishing line; (pesée) special-activity interpretation services[Repealed, SOR/99-95, s. 1] steel shot[Repealed, SOR/2020-256, s. 3] student means a person who is 13 years of age or over but under 18 years of age, or a person who holds a valid student identification card from a recognized educational institution; (étudiant) tin shot[Repealed, SOR/2020-256, s. 3] toxic shot means shot, other than non-toxic shot; (grenaille toxique) tungsten-bronze-iron shot[Repealed, SOR/2020-256, s. 3] tungsten-iron-nickel-copper shot[Repealed, SOR/2020-256, s. 3] tungsten-iron shot[Repealed, SOR/2020-256, s. 3] tungsten-matrix shot[Repealed, SOR/2020-256, s. 3] tungsten-nickel-iron shot[Repealed, SOR/2020-256, s. 3] tungsten-polymer shot[Repealed, SOR/2020-256, s. 3] wildlife[Repealed, SOR/94-594, s. 4] wildlife area means an area of public lands set out in Schedule I. (réserve d’espèces sauvages) wildlife area officer[Repealed, SOR/94-594, s. 4] Subject to subsections 3.1(1) to (3) and sections 3.6 and 3.7, no person shall do any of the following in any wildlife area except in accordance with a permit issued under section 4 or section 8.1: introduce any living organism whose presence is likely to result in harm to any wildlife or the degradation of any wildlife residence or wildlife habitat; hunt, fish or trap; have in their possession any equipment that could be used for hunting, fishing or trapping; have in their possession, while fishing, any lead sinkers or lead jigs; have in their possession any wildlife, carcass, nest, egg or a part of any of those things; carry on any agricultural activity, graze livestock or harvest any natural or cultivated crop; bring a domestic animal with hooves into the wildlife area; allow any domestic animal to run at large or keep any domestic animal on a leash that is longer than three metres; carry on any recreational activities, including swimming, camping, hiking, wildlife viewing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and skating; participate in a group meal or group event involving 15 or more people; light or maintain a fire; operate a conveyance — including a conveyance without a driver on board — other than an aircraft; conduct a take-off or landing of an aircraft, including a remotely piloted aircraft; operate on land or in the water a remotely controlled self-propelled device or set in motion on land or in the water an autonomous self-propelled device; remove, damage or destroy any poster or sign or any fence, building or other structure; sell, or offer for sale, any goods or services; carry on any industrial activity; disturb or remove any soil, sand, gravel or other material; dump or deposit any waste material, or any substance that would degrade or alter the quality of the environment; remove, damage or destroy any artifact or natural object; or carry out any other activity that is likely to disturb, damage, destroy or remove from the wildlife area any wildlife — whether alive or dead — wildlife residence or wildlife habitat. No person shall, except in accordance with a permit issued under section 4 or section 8.1, hunt or fish from outside the wildlife area for wildlife located in the wildlife area. The activities set out in Schedule I.1 in relation to any wildlife area that is listed in that Schedule may be carried out in that wildlife area, subject to any conditions that are specified in that Schedule for those activities in that wildlife area. The activities must be carried out in a manner that minimizes the adverse effects on any wildlife, wildlife residence or wildlife habitat. The activities may be carried out in that wildlife area only from sunrise to sunset, unless otherwise specified in Schedule I.1. For greater certainty, a permit issued under section 4 or section 8.1 is not required for those activities. Subject to subsection (2), if an activity referred to in subsection 3(1) is described in Schedule I.1 as being authorized in a wildlife area at a designated location or during a designated period, the Minister may designate the applicable location or period for that activity. The Minister shall, when designating a location or a period, take the following into consideration: the health and safety of all persons in the wildlife area; the conservation and protection of wildlife and wildlife habitat; any research, conservation and interpretation activities that are in progress in or planned for the wildlife area; the security of physical assets in the wildlife area; the integrity of objects and infrastructure in the wildlife area; any existing agreements with respect to the wildlife area; and the compatibility of the activity in question with other activities that are authorized to be carried out in the wildlife area. No person shall enter any of the following wildlife areas except in accordance with a permit issued under section 4: Country Island National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 8 of Part I of Schedule I; Isle Haute National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 9 of Part I of Schedule I; Îles de la Paix National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 3 of Part III of Schedule I; Eleanor Island National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 2 of Part IV of Schedule I; Wellers Bay National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 6 of Part IV of Schedule I; Scotch Bonnet Island National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 9 of Part IV of Schedule I; St-Denis National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 4 of Part VI of Schedule I; Meanook National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 2 of Part VII of Schedule I; Canadian Forces Base Suffield National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 4 of Part VII of Schedule I; Edéhzhíe National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 1 of Part IX of Schedule I; Akpait National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 1 of Part XI of Schedule I; Ninginganiq National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 2 of Part XI of Schedule I; Qaqulluit National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 3 of Part XI of Schedule I; Nanuit Itillinga National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 4 of Part XI of Schedule I; and Nirjutiqarvik National Wildlife Area, as set out in item 5 of Part XI of Schedule I. No person shall enter St. Paul Island National Wildlife Area or Mohawk Island National Wildlife Area during the period beginning on April 1 in any year and ending on August 31 in the same year except in accordance with a permit issued under section 4. Sections 3 and 3.3 do not apply in respect of an activity carried out for the purpose of ensuring public safety or national security or in response to an emergency. Paragraphs 3(1)(b), (c), (e), (g) to (i), (k) to (o), (r), (t) and (u) and section 3.3 do not apply in respect of a federal or provincial enforcement officer when they are performing their duties or functions or a person who is acting under the direction or control of that enforcement officer. Section 3.3 does not apply in respect of an employee of the Department of the Environment who, in the course of performing their duties or functions, is carrying out a wildlife research, conservation or interpretation activity or a person who is acting under the direction or control of that employee. Section 3.3 does not apply in respect of a person who, on behalf of a representative of the government of Canada and in the course of their duties or functions, is carrying out an activity relating to the maintenance of a wildlife area. A person referred to in subsection (2) or (3) may, in the course of their duties or functions in a wildlife area, despite paragraph 3(1)(l), operate a conveyance with a driver on board, other than an aircraft; and despite paragraph 3(1)(o), remove, damage or destroy a poster or sign. If a domestic animal is at large in a wildlife area and a wildlife officer has reasonable grounds to conclude that the animal has an owner, the officer may capture the animal if the owner is present but is unable or unwilling to capture the animal within a reasonable time, or is not present or is unknown; require the owner to remove the animal from the wildlife area if the owner is present; impound the animal at the expense of the owner if the owner is not present; if the animal is injured, obtain medical care for the animal at the expense of the owner if the owner is known; and destroy the animal if it poses a danger to any person, any other domestic animal or any wildlife and the owner is not present or is unknown. If a domestic animal is at large in a wildlife area and a wildlife officer has no reasonable grounds to conclude that the animal has an owner, the officer may capture the animal; impound the animal; if the animal is injured, obtain medical care for the animal; or destroy the animal if it poses a danger to any person, any other domestic animal or any wildlife. For the purposes of this section, the owner of an animal includes the person who is responsible for it. A wildlife officer, an employee referred to in subsection 3.5(2) or a person acting under the direction or control of the officer or the employee, may capture or destroy, in a wildlife area, any wildlife that is not indigenous to that wildlife area and is likely to cause immediate harm to indigenous wildlife or immediately degrade its habitat. The Minister may temporarily close all or any part of a wildlife area if there is a risk of harm to wildlife, including as a result of an outbreak of disease; there is a natural disaster or any other major emergency; or there is a risk to public safety or national security. The Minister shall give notice in writing to the public of the temporary closure of all or any part of a wildlife area under subsection (1); and the reopening of all or any part of a wildlife area. The written notice shall be posted at the entrance or boundary of the wildlife area or published on a federal government website or on other media. No person shall enter a wildlife area or any part of it that has been closed under subsection (1), other than a person referred to in section 3.5. The Minister may, on application, issue a permit to a person or a government body for any activity referred to in section 3 or 3.3 if in the case where the purpose of the proposed activity is to promote the conservation or protection of wildlife or wildlife habitat, the benefits that the proposed activity is likely to have for the conservation or protection of wildlife or wildlife habitat outweigh any adverse effects that it is likely to have on wildlife or wildlife habitat, and there are no alternatives to the proposed activity that would be likely to produce the same or equivalent benefits for the conservation or protection of wildlife or wildlife habitat but would be likely to have less significant adverse effects; and in any other case, taking into consideration the measures described in paragraph (2)(d), the adverse effects that the proposed activity is likely to have on wildlife or wildlife habitat would not compromise their conservation, and there are no alternatives to the proposed activity that would allow the applicant to achieve the same outcome but would likely have less significant adverse effects on wildlife or wildlife habitat. The application must be in a form approved by the Minister and include the following information: the applicant’s contact information; details regarding the activity that the applicant proposes to carry out, including the purpose of the activity, the location where it will be carried out, the conveyances and devices that will be used, including remotely piloted aircraft and self-propelled terrestrial or aquatic devices, whether those devices are remotely controlled or autonomous, the types of equipment that will be used, and the number of persons who will be carrying out the activity and their qualifications in relation to the activity; details regarding the effects that the activity is likely to have on wildlife or wildlife habitat in the wildlife area, including the likelihood that those effects will occur and their scope; and details regarding the measures that will be taken by the applicant to monitor the effects referred to in paragraph (c) and to prevent or, if prevention is not feasible, to mitigate any adverse effects. Before issuing a permit under subsection 4(1), the Minister shall, for the purpose of evaluating the effects that a proposed activity is likely to have on wildlife or wildlife habitat in the wildlife area and determining whether the effects are adverse, take the following into consideration: the likelihood that those effects will occur and their scope; the capacity of the wildlife or wildlife habitat to recover or to be restored, if the effects occur; and the cumulative effects of the activity when combined with the effects of other activities carried out in the wildlife area. A permit must include the condition that the permit holder must notify the Minister of any change to any information provided in the application for the permit. A permit may include conditions with respect to the locations, dates, duration and frequency of the activity that may be carried out under the permit, the method by which the activity may be carried out and the types of equipment, devices and conveyances that may be used to carry out the activity; the measures that the permit holder must take to monitor the effects that the activity is likely to have on wildlife or wildlife habitat in the wildlife area, and prevent or, if prevention is not feasible, mitigate any adverse effects; the reports that the permit holder must provide to the Minister with respect to the activity, including its actual and likely effects on wildlife or wildlife habitat in the wildlife area; and the minimum or maximum number of persons that may carry out the activity and the qualifications they must have. Any person carrying out activities authorized by a permit shall have a copy of the permit in their possession at all times when they are in the wildlife area; and show a copy of the permit to a wildlife officer on request. Every permit expires on the expiry date set out in the permit or, where a permit does not contain an expiry date, on December 31st of the year in which it was issued. The Minister may suspend a permit if it is necessary to do so for the conservation or protection of wildlife or wildlife habitat in the wildlife area; or the permit holder has failed to comply with any condition of the permit. The permit is suspended until the day on which the Minister notifies the permit holder that the suspension is lifted. The Minister shall lift the suspension when the grounds for the suspension no longer exist or when the permit holder has taken the measures necessary to remedy the situation on which the suspension was based. The Minister may revoke a permit if it is necessary to do so for the conservation or protection of wildlife or wildlife habitat in the wildlife area; there are grounds on which to suspend the permit under subsection 7(1) and the permit has been suspended at least twice before; the permit has been suspended for at least six months; or the permit holder has provided false or misleading information. The Minister may, on application, issue a permit to hunt migratory game birds in the Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area to an applicant, who is chosen by lot, subject to the following conditions: the application for a permit for a particular year must be submitted to the Minister during the period beginning on February 15 and ending on April 30 of that year; the applicant must be a resident of Canada; only one application is to be accepted from an applicant during the application period referred to in paragraph (a); and the completed application must be accompanied by the non-refundable application fee set out in item 1 of Schedule III. The permit must indicate the period for which it is valid and set out the names of the guests of the permit holder, if any. The permit holder shall comply with the following conditions: on receipt of the permit, the permit holder shall pay the applicable fee set out for the permit in item 2, 3 or 4 of Schedule III and they and their guests shall sign the permit; and the permit holder shall carry a signed copy of the permit while hunting under the authority of the permit in the Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area. No person shall hunt migratory game birds in the Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area except in a blind approved by the Minister. Every person who enters Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area shall pay the applicable amount, if any, set out in item 1, 2, 3 or 4 of Schedule II. Every person who requests naturalist services shall pay the amount set out in item 5 of Schedule II. Subsections (1) and (2) do not apply when the entrance gate to the wildlife area is open and no attendant is present. [Repealed, SOR/99-95, s. 3] [Repealed, SOR/94-594, s. 9] John Lusby Marsh National Wildlife Area Being all that parcel of land, in the County of Cumberland, expropriated by the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, according to an expropriation document registered in the Registry of Deeds at Amherst, in Exp. Book — page 19, as number 338-1967. Sand Pond National Wildlife Area Being all that parcel of land, in the County of Yarmouth, in the vicinity of Argyle Settlement, shown bordered green on a plan signed by Walter E. Servant, Nova Scotia Land Surveyor, October 21, 1966, and recorded as 55627 in the Canada Lands Surveys Records at Ottawa; said parcel containing 1315.5 acres, more or less, including the beds of any lakes or streams lying therein. Boot Island National Wildlife Area All that lot of land and premises commonly known as Bout Island (sometimes called Boot Island), in Kings County, including, without restricting the generality of the foregoing, little Bout Island so-called and all salt marsh land, dyke land and upland connected with the aforesaid Islands the same being located at the junction of the Gaspereaux River and the Avon River at the point where the said Rivers empty into the Minas Basin; said lot containing about 144 hectares (356 acres). Wallace Bay National Wildlife Area All those parcels of land, in the County of Cumberland, bordered by a heavy line according to plan 66185 in the Canada Lands Surveys Records at Ottawa; Saving and Excepting thereout from the above Parcel I as shown on Plan of Survey, surveyed by Gerald MacDougall, N.S.L.S., said plan filed with the Department of Public Works and Government Services as S-585, containing about 2.5 hectares (6.2 acres). Said remainder containing together about 580.5 hectares (1433.8 acres). Sea Wolf Island National Wildlife Area Being all that parcel of land, in the County of Inverness, comprising Sea Wolf (Margaree) Island, said parcel containing about 100 acres; Saving and Excepting therefrom all and singular those two parcels of land presently under the administration and control of Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada more particularly described as follows: Lot No. 1 BEGINNING at a point at a distance of eighty-five feet (85′) measured in a straight line on a bearing S 20° W from the centre of a new tower at the light station on Sea Wolf Island. THENCE from the Point of Beginning so determined, N 42° W a distance of two hundred feet (200′) to a point; thence N 48° W a distance of two hundred feet (200′) to a point; thence S 42° E a distance of two hundred feet (200′) to a point; thence S 48° W a distance of two hundred feet (200′) to the Point of Beginning. THE SAID parcel of land above described contains an area of 40,000 square feet, more or less. Lot No. 21 (Right-of-Way) A STRIP of land fifteen feet (15′) wide over an existing right-of-way leading from the southerly boundary of the above mentioned described parcel of land leading to a public wharf on the southerly side of the Island. ALL BEARINGS mentioned in this description are in reference to the Magnetic Meridian of 1868. Chignecto National Wildlife Area Amherst Point Sanctuary Unit Being all those two parcels of land, in the County of Cumberland, bordered by a heavy line according to plan 66108 in the Canada Lands Survey Records at Ottawa; THE SAID parcels of land containing 409.56 hectares (1,012 acres), more or less. Big Glace Bay Lake National Wildlife Area All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, situated at Donkin-Morien Highway, Glace Bay, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, Province of Nova Scotia. Being “Big Glace Bay Lake National Wildlife Area” as shown on Public Services and Procurement Canada Plan S-6665, titled “Plan of Survey Showing Big Glace Bay Lake National Wildlife Area, Being Lands of H.M. in Right of Canada”, dated December 21, 2020, as signed by Dennis Prendergast, Nova Scotia Land Surveyor, said plan S-6665 being registered August 29, 2023 as plan number 122984553 in the Land Registration Office for the County of Cape Breton. Said “Big Glace Bay Lake National Wildlife Area” contains an area of 395.38 hectares (977 acres), more or less, and includes Parcel E, Parcel 2016-1, Parcel 2016-2, and a portion of PID 15890957 (and excludes Beach Road), as shown on the above-mentioned plan. All azimuths are grid-referenced to longitude 61°30′W, the central meridian of MTM Zone 4, NAD83(CSRS) at Epoch 2010.0, metric values. Country Island National Wildlife Area All that certain island, piece or parcel of land situated at Country Island, County of Guysborough, Province of Nova Scotia, shown as Parcel CI-R (Country Island Remainder) on Department of Public Works and Government Services Plan S-6549 titled “Plan of Survey of Parcel A, Subdivision of Country Island, and Showing Parcel CI-R (Country Island Remainder), Land Granted to H. M. in right of Canada”, dated February 4, 2020, as signed by H. James McIntosh, Nova Scotia Land Surveyor, said Parcel CI-R being more particularly described as follows: Being the entirety of Country Island (PID 35067164) as shown on the above mentioned plan; Saving and excepting from Country Island Parcel A, as shown on the above said plan and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the western and northern boundaries of Parcel A at Point 1, said point being at coordinates north 4 995 577.556 metres and east 24 496 638.732 metres, as shown on the above mentioned plan; Thence north 88°00′00″ east along the northern boundary of Parcel A, 40.000 metres to the eastern boundary of Parcel A; Thence south 02°00′00″ east along the eastern boundary of Parcel A, 40.000 metres to the southern boundary of Parcel A; Thence south 88°00′00″ west along the southern boundary of Parcel A, 40.000 metres to the western boundary of Parcel A; Thence north 02°00′00″ west along the western boundary of Parcel A, 40.000 metres to the Place of Beginning. The above described Parcel A contains an area of 1 600.0 m2. The above described Parcel CI-R contains an area of 21 hectares, more or less (area includes ponds and excludes Parcel A). All bearings, distances and coordinates are grid-referenced to longitude 61°30′ west, the central meridian for MTM Zone 4, NAD83 (CSRS) 2010.0 values. Being and intended to be a portion of Country Island conveyed to Her Majesty in right of Canada by Provincial Grant No. 21705 recorded in Guysborough County Land Registration Office Book 23, Page 198. Isle Haute National Wildlife Area All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situated at Isle Haute, County of Cumberland, Province of Nova Scotia, shown as Parcel IH-R (Isle Haute Remainder) on Department of Public Works and Government Services Plan S-6551 titled “Plan of Survey of Parcel A, Subdivision of Isle Haute, and Showing Parcel IH-R (Isle Haute Remainder), Land Granted to H. M. in right of Canada”, dated February 7, 2020, as signed by H. James McIntosh, Nova Scotia Land Surveyor, said Parcel IH-R being more particularly described as follows: All that certain Island in the Bay of Fundy, Province of Nova Scotia, known as and called Isle Haute (Île Haute); Saving and excepting from Isle Haute (Île Haute) Parcel A, as shown on the above mentioned plan and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the northeastern and southeastern boundaries of Parcel A at Point 3, said point being at coordinates north 5 012 429.799 metres and east 25 460 351.299 metres as shown on the above mentioned plan; Thence south 65°38′00″ west along the southeastern boundary of Parcel A, 61.000 metres to the southwestern boundary of Parcel A; Thence north 24°22′00″ west along the southwestern boundary of Parcel A, 61.000 metres to the northwestern boundary of Parcel A; Thence north 65°38′00″ east along the northwestern boundary of Parcel A, 61.000 metres to the northeastern boundary of Parcel A; Thence south 24°22′00″ east along the northeastern boundary of Parcel A, 61.000 metres to the Place of Beginning. Being and intended to be a portion of Isle Haute conveyed to Her Majesty in right of Canada by Provincial Grant No. 13950 recorded in Nova Scotia Grant Book 2, Page 1. St. Paul Island National Wildlife Area All that certain lot, piece, parcel of land and land covered by water commonly known as St. Paul Island, having an approximate centroid coordinate of north 5 231 500.000 metres and east 715 750.000 metres, situated in the Gulf of St. Lawrence off the northeastern coast of Cape North, County of Victoria, Cape Breton Island, Province of Nova Scotia. Being outlined in bold and identified as Parcel 2021-SP1 on Department of Public Works and Government Services Plan S-6674 titled “Sketch Showing Parcel 2021–SPI Lands of H.M. in Right of Canada (Environment Canada — Canadian Wildlife Service)”, dated March 29, 2021, revised May 27, 2021. Said Parcel 2021-SP1 contains an area of 478 hectares (lakes inclusive), more or less. All coordinates are grid-referenced to NAD83 (CSRS), Zone 20 North UTM, metric values. Tintamarre National Wildlife Area Jolicure Unit All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land and land covered by water situated at Big Jolicure Lake, Parishes of Sackville and Westmorland, County of Westmorland, Province of New Brunswick, and being more particularly described as follows: Being Parcel 2012-1 as shown on a Plan of Survey S-5725 titled “PLAN of SURVEY Showing Parcel 2012-1, Being a Consolidation of PID 827162, PID 70141692, PID 70141684 and PID 70141700, Lands of H.M. in Right of Canada (Environment Canada – Canada Wildlife Service), Tintamarre National Wildlife Area, Big Jolicure Lake, Parishes of Sackville and Westmorland County, Westmorland County, Province of New Brunswick”, as signed by Michael J. Gould, New Brunswick Land Surveyor, dated February 27, 2012, registered March 19, 2012 as plan number 31265045 in the Westmorland County Registry Office. The above described Parcel 2012-1 contains an area of 1 600 hectares, more or less. and Operation by sport hunters of a vehicle, other than a snowmobile or an all-terrain vehicle, on designated roads and trails and in designated parking areas, from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset Sport fishing in designated areas of the Rosewall Creek Unit in accordance with any applicable federal permit and any authorization required by the laws of British Columbia for sport fishing in that province Allowing a dog to run at large with or without a leash longer than 3 metres, if the dog is under the control of the owner or of another person at all times Participation in a group meal or group event involving 15 or more people Operating a snowmobile Camping Lighting or maintaining a campfire, except during a period for which Yukon has issued a fire ban by ministerial order for any area adjacent to the wildlife area Motorized boating, other than air boats, hovercraft and motorized personal watercraft and other than while towing a barge or platform Sport hunting, except with toxic shot or with a commercial guide, in accordance with any applicable federal permit and any authorization required by the laws of Yukon for sport hunting in that territory, during the hour before sunrise and the hour after sunset, in addition to during the period referred to in subsection 3.1(3) Sport fishing, except with a sinker that contains any amount of lead or with a commercial guide, in accordance with any applicable federal permit and any authorization required by the laws of Yukon for sport fishing in that territory Carrying a firearm for self-defence Commercial wilderness tourism, in designated areas during designated periods, in accordance with any authorization required by the laws of Yukon for commercial wilderness tourism in that territory Activities referred to in items 1 to 13 and 15 to 17 from sunset to sunrise, in addition to during the period referred to in subsection 3.1(3) adult student [Repealed, SOR/2018-113, s. 3] adult’s group (minimum 10 people) senior’s group (minimum 10 people) student’s group and children’s group (6 to 12 years) (minimum 10 people) children’s group (0 to 5 years) (minimum 10 people) adult and student
