About this statute
This is the preamble to Law 76 of 1993, which states that the law adopts measures to protect Colombians abroad through the consular service of the Republic. Consular offices must hire specialized professionals to give legal and/or social guidance and assistance to Colombians when the estimated Colombian community in their jurisdiction exceeds 10,000 people.
