About this statute

This provision says Law 215 of 1995 approves the Protocol of Managua, a reform protocol to the Charter of the Organization of American States. The Council Interamericano para el Desarrollo Integral must plan, coordinate, evaluate, and report on technical cooperation and development programs, and the Secretary General must appoint an Executive Secretary with Council approval. This article changes several Charter provisions on the Organization’s councils, giving them defined competences and powers, and requiring the Development Council to meet at least once a year. This article removes specified articles from the Charter of the Organization of American States. This article changes the title of Chapter XIII, deletes Chapter XIV, and renumbers the later chapters.
