About this statute

Esta ley aprueba un tratado entre Colombia y España sobre el traslado de personas condenadas. This article defines three terms used in the treaty: the transferring state, the receiving state, and the sentenced person. The States Parties must cooperate as fully as possible on transfers of convicted persons. Las Partes deben designar autoridades centrales; la persona sentenciada continúa cumpliendo la pena o medida en el Estado receptor sin exequátur; y solo el Estado trasladante puede conocer del recurso o acción de revisión. This provision says the treaty applies only if seven listed conditions are met.
