About this statute

The text authorizes the Ministry of Health to take part in creating a mixed-economy health services institution. Autoriza al Gobierno Nacional, por medio del Ministerio de Salud, a participar en la creación de una sociedad de economía mixta para prestar servicios de salud. For creating the institution mentioned in Article 1, the Nation, through the Ministry of Health, must seek the participation of the Fundación Hospital Infantil Lorencita Villegas de Santos. La Nación must contribute 3,000,000,000 pesos from the national budget to carry out Article 1. The National Government is authorized to agree to assume its associate’s welfare obligations when the entity is created, as long as the amount does not affect the new entity’s assets and is counted as capital contribution.
