Statute overview

About this statute

This law authorizes the National Government to issue internal public debt bonds. The National Government is authorized to issue domestic debt securities called Security Bonds, up to COP 600,000 million, and to set their issuance and placement terms. Bonds are redeemed at maturity for their nominal value, and they may be used to pay certain DIAN-administered tax-related amounts. Certain natural and legal persons must make a one-time mandatory investment in Bonos para la Seguridad, with exemptions and a voluntary option for smaller patrimonies. This article states that Article 4 is repealed.
