About this statute

This is the preamble to Law 415 of 1997, which states that the law establishes rules on criminal and penitentiary alternatives and other measures to reduce prison overcrowding in the country. This article states that the Penal Code will have a new Article 72-A. This article amends Ley 65 de 1993 by adding a new article 99A.
