About this statute

Law 424 of 1998 states that Colombia must monitor the international agreements it has signed. The Government, through the Foreign Ministry, must send an annual detailed report to the foreign-relations committees of the Senate and Chamber of Representatives. Government departments handling their international-treaty responsibilities must send relevant information to the Foreign Ministry, which must pass it on to the Second Committees. El Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores debe anexar el texto completo de esta ley a todos los convenios internacionales que presente al Congreso. This article says the law takes effect when it is promulgated.
