About this statute

This text is the preamble to Law 429 of 1998, which states that it regulates the profession of Family Development and other provisions. This article regulates the practice of the Desarrollo Familiar profession and says the article has been repealed by Law 2336 of 2023. Los profesionales en Desarrollo Familiar pueden ejercer funciones de su profesión en el sector público y privado, but must also complete six months of service in government-designated entities to practice. State-owned and private companies needing Family Development services may only hire professionals with a university degree earned under this law. La norma reconoce como Profesional en Desarrollo Familiar a quienes tengan ciertos títulos en esa área, en Colombia o en el extranjero, bajo condiciones de equivalencia o reciprocidad.
