Statute overview

About this statute

This law adopts measures on how state entities handle contingent obligations and sets other rules on public debt. The Nation, territorial entities, and decentralized entities must budget amounts to cover possible losses from contingent obligations they owe. The Contingency Fund for State Entities is meant to cover contingent obligations of state entities that the Government determines, and the Government also sets what risks may be covered.
