Statute overview

About this statute

This text identifies Law 640 of 2001, states its subject as conciliation-related rules, and notes that it was repealed from 30 December 2022. This article classifies conciliation as judicial or extrajudicial, and further distinguishes extrajudicial conciliation as in law or in equity depending on who conducts it and where it occurs. Certain conciliation proceedings are free, while notaries may charge for their services under a tariff framework set by the national government.
