Statute overview

About this statute

Authorizes the Antioquia departmental assembly to issue the Pro-Hospitales Públicos stamp. Autoriza a la Asamblea de Antioquia a ordenar la emisión de una estampilla para hospitales públicos, hasta por $200.000.000.000 a precios de 1999. The proceeds from the stamp are mainly earmarked for hospital-related uses, including health promotion, staff training, facility works, equipment, supplies, technology, and related hospital services. The Antioquia Department Assembly may set the features, rates, taxable events, taxpayers, tax bases, and other matters for the mandatory stamp use, and may authorize municipal councils to make that stamp use mandatory. The Antioquia Departmental Assembly must bring the decisions it issues under this law to the attention of the national government through the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit’s Fiscal Support Directorate.
