About this statute

This preamble introduces the law approving the Protocol on Privileges and Immunities of the Association of Caribbean States. This article defines key terms used in the Protocol and gives the Council of Ministers power to expand the list of archives for new technological developments. Cada Parte debe otorgar, dentro de su territorio, los privilegios e inmunidades previstos en este Protocolo a la Asociación, sus órganos, representantes, funcionarios y expertos. The Association has international legal personality and the legal capacity needed to carry out its functions and aims, including contracting, dealing with movable and immovable property, and being a party in legal proceedings. La Asociación y sus bienes tienen inmunidad frente a procedimientos judiciales y sus locales son inviolables, con una excepción si la inmunidad se renuncia expresamente.
