About this statute

This text approves an inter-American convention on illicit firearms, ammunition, explosives, and related materials, and the convention requires States Parties to criminalize, control, trace, and cooperate against illicit manufacture and trafficking. El artículo aprueba la Convención Interamericana contra la fabricación y el tráfico ilícitos de armas de fuego, municiones, explosivos y otros materiales relacionados. The country is bound by the convention once the international link is perfected. The law takes effect from the date it is published.
