Statute overview

About this statute

This law reduces prescription periods in civil matters. The article reduces certain Civil Code prescriptive periods from twenty years to ten years. Ordinary prescription may be suspended, and when the suspension ends, prior time is counted again; the period also does not run against certain protected persons and those absolutely unable to assert their right.
