About this statute
This law declares the Festival del Mono Núñez to be part of the Nation’s cultural heritage and authorizes certain works. El Festival del Mono Núñez se declara patrimonio cultural de la Nación y se protege sus expresiones. The National Government may add budget appropriations to fund goods, the festival, and related works, and those appropriations must have the needed investment programs and projects for execution. The Ministry of Culture is authorized to take part in modernizing the Mono Núñez Festival as cultural heritage, including its organization and promoting interaction between national and universal culture. The article recognizes that cultural creators and managers who take part in folk traditions at the Festival del Mono Núñez are entitled to the incentives named in Article 18 of Law 397 of 1997.
