This excerpt is the law’s title and opening enactment clause about the single urban or rural real property belonging to a female head of family. El único inmueble urbano o rural de la persona cabeza de familia pasa a ser patrimonio familiar inembargable a favor de sus hijos menores y de los que estén por nacer. La constitución del patrimonio de familia debe hacerse ante la oficina de registro de instrumentos públicos del lugar donde esté el inmueble, y requiere varios documentos de soporte. El registrador público debe dejar constancia en la matrícula inmobiliaria de que el inmueble es patrimonio de familia, una vez cumplidos los requisitos previos. Pending applications already being processed at the relevant notary offices must continue under the normal procedure and initial requirements.
