The property at Calle 5a No. 4-51 in Popayán is declared a national monument and part of Colombia’s cultural heritage, and it must be used only for activities directly related to the Semana Santa processions of Popayán. Se reconoce a ciertos creadores, gestores y promotores culturales de Popayán para acceder a los estímulos del artículo 18 de la Ley 397 de 1997, con concepto previo del Ministerio de Cultura y a través de la Junta Permanente Pro Semana Santa de Popayán. La ley autoriza a ciertas administraciones públicas a asignar partidas presupuestales y autoriza al Gobierno Nacional a gestionar recursos adicionales para los fines de la ley.
