This article states the law’s purpose: to adopt declaratory rules to protect journalistic work and safeguard its freedom and professional independence. Títulos expedidos por universidades o instituciones de educación superior legalmente reconocidas pueden registrarse en el Ministerio de Educación Nacional. For revalidation, validation, and homologation of the relevant degrees, different names used in the communications field must be taken into account. Foreign academic titles in the communication field may be recognized by Colombia’s Ministry of Education.
