About this statute

This provision identifies Law 920 of 2004 and says it authorizes family compensation funds to carry out financial activity and sets other rules. Las Cajas de Compensación Familiar must adjust their bylaws under this law through the General Assembly, and for this purpose the quorum is any plural number of attending members. Certain persons, companies, and public or private entities must withhold amounts they owe to workers or pensioners to pay debts owed to compensation funds, cooperatives, or employees’ funds, if the debt is documented and the debtor gives prior consent. They may not charge an administration fee for doing this.
