About this statute
This law sets rules on the right to work in equal conditions because of age. The law says the State specially protects citizens’ rights to equal treatment, and people cannot be discriminated against because of age when accessing work. No se puede exigir un rango de edad a quienes aspiran a un cargo o trabajo para evaluar su aprobación laboral. Regulations that restrict age for access to jobs must be changed to remove unfair limits, and public or private job calls may not include age or other listed discrimination criteria. The Ministry of Social Protection may oversee and sanction violators with successive fines equal to fifty current monthly legal minimum wages.
