About this statute

This text is the preamble of Law 1032 of 2006, stating that the Congress of Colombia decrees changes to specified articles of the Penal Code. Prohibits unauthorized use, access, or commercialization of certain telecommunications services and sets prison and fines. This article makes unauthorized reproduction, distribution, performance, exhibition, rental, commercialization, communication, retransmission, and similar uses of protected works and related materials a crime, unless a legal exception applies. This article criminalizes certain copyright and related-rights violations and sets prison and fine penalties. Se castiga con prisión y multa a quien use o usurpe ciertos derechos de propiedad industrial, y también a quien financie, suministre, distribuya, venda, comercialice, transporte o adquiera esos bienes o materia vegetal en las condiciones indicadas.
