About this statute

This law establishes a special administrative career for certain public employees serving the Ministry of National Defense, the armed forces, the National Police, and related decentralized entities. Se establece un régimen de Carrera Especial para ciertos empleados públicos civiles no uniformados del sector defensa y la Policía Nacional. Se otorgan facultades extraordinarias al Presidente de la República para expedir normas con fuerza de ley sobre el sistema especial de carrera del Sector Defensa dentro de 6 meses desde la publicación de la ley. The President of the Republic is given extraordinary powers to issue legal norms within six months to modify and determine the job nomenclature and classification system for entities in the defense sector. Para vincular personal civil no uniformado en las entidades indicadas, debe hacerse un estudio de seguridad reservado y debe ser favorable; la regla no aplica al Ministro de Defensa, Viceministros y Secretario General.
