About this statute

This preamble states that Colombia and Spain agreed to promote and protect reciprocal investments. This article defines key terms used in the agreement, including investor, investments, investment returns, and territory. Each Contracting Party should promote and admit investments from investors of the other Contracting Party, and must issue needed permits and authorizations under its laws. Each Contracting Party must treat covered foreign investments and investors no less favorably than its own investors or investors from any third state, whichever is more favorable.
