About this statute
This provision identifies Law 1086 of 2006, which allows judicatura service for consumer leagues and associations. Law students may serve as legal advisers to consumer leagues and associations when doing so to satisfy the judicatura requirement for qualifying as lawyers. The judiciary service requirement for consumer leagues and associations is unpaid and ad honórem. This article changes a rule so that the relevant category is “lawyer or legal adviser of an entity under inspection, supervision, and control by any Superintendencia in the country.” Universities must nominate interested students for judicature placements in consumer leagues or associations, and the national umbrella organization must have a special agreement with the university. Consumer leagues and associations must be legally constituted, suitable, and have been active for at least five continuous years to receive the benefits.
