About this statute

Preamble to Law 1105 of 2006, identifying the law and its general subject matter. This article says who must follow the law’s liquidation rules: certain national executive public entities, public companies, mixed-economy companies with at least 90% state ownership, and state social enterprises, plus some territorial entities in liquidation. This article sets the deadline for liquidation in the act ordering suppression or dissolution, allows the Government to extend that deadline if liquidation is not finished, and requires judges to notify registry and commerce bodies so they cancel the relevant records when requested by the liquidator. La liquidación queda a cargo de un liquidador. El liquidador puede adelantar el proceso de liquidación de la entidad pública para la que fue designado y contratar personas especializadas para apoyar esas actividades.
