About this statute
This law adds a new item to the Labor Code and establishes bereavement leave (Licencia por Luto). Workers get 5 paid days of bereavement leave when a spouse, permanent partner, or certain relatives die; the worker must prove the event within 30 days, and EPS must provide psychological counseling to the family. This law takes effect when it is published.
