About this statute
The law declares the Medellín International Poetry Festival part of the nation’s cultural heritage and says it contains other provisions. Se declara al Festival Internacional de Poesía de Medellín como Patrimonio Cultural y Artístico de la República de Colombia. The national government is authorized to add specific budget appropriations for the Festival and to make related budget transfers and interadministrative agreements. The Festival’s creators, cultural managers, and participants are recognized as entitled to the incentives named in Laws 397 of 1997 and 666 of 2001, and related rules. This article says the law takes effect from the date it is sanctioned.
