About this statute

This is the preamble of Law 1325 of 2009, which states that the Congress of the Republic of Colombia enacted the law assigning functions to the National Professional Engineering Council (Copnia) and providing other rules. Copnia is given the function of inspecting, supervising, and controlling the professional practice of several listed agricultural and related professions. Old professional registrations keep their validity and are presumed authentic. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the relevant professional councils must arrange transfer of the registration and certificate files to Copnia.
