About this statute
This law states that vaccination is to be free and mandatory for the Colombian population and updates the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI). El Gobierno Nacional debe garantizar la vacunación gratuita y obligatoria para la población infantil de 0 a 5 años. The Ministry of Social Protection, or the relevant entity, must update the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI). Rotavirus and Pneumococcal vaccines must be included in the free universal basic vaccination plan, and universal Pneumococcal coverage is to be phased in under regulations issued by the national government. This article says the law takes effect when it is promulgated and repeals any conflicting provisions.
