This law declares the Concatedral de Nuestra Señora del Socorro, in Socorro (Santander), a cultural asset of the Nation. The Concatedral de Nuestra Señora del Socorro is declared a cultural asset of the Nation. Las entidades públicas de protección del patrimonio cultural y el Ministerio de Cultura deben concurrir en la organización, protección y conservación del inmueble; además, el Ministerio debe prestar apoyo administrativo y asesoría técnica. The Government of Colombia, Santander’s department, and Socorro’s municipality are authorized to help fund and support the declared cultural-interest property. The national government, Santander department, and Socorro municipality are authorized to promote and support the obtaining of additional or complementary funding for the law’s purpose.
