Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble says Colombia and Brazil agree to cooperate in defense, to promote peace and international prosperity, respect sovereignty and non-interference, and strengthen collaboration on matters of common interest. Each Party generally pays its own expenses, and the receiving Party must provide emergency medical treatment for the sending Party’s personnel in the stated defense-cooperation context. A party may not bring a civil action for damages caused in activities covered by the agreement, and the parties allocate liability and indemnification for damage caused by military personnel.
