Statute overview

About this statute

This provision is the law’s preamble: it states that the law sets out measures and incentives for the return of Colombians living abroad. The law aims to create customs, tax, and financial incentives for Colombians who return, and to provide them comprehensive support if they choose to return voluntarily. This article defines five types of return for Colombians and says the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation must promote academic return, subject to title-validation policies.
