Statute overview

About this statute

This law temporarily changes the timing of the national sports and national paralympic games, and renames the national paralympic games as the national para-games. This provision says the bill’s purpose is to temporarily modify rules on the timing of the National Sports Games and the Paranational Games, and to rename the Paralympic National Games as Paranational Games. This article temporarily changes the period for the National Sports Games for the 20th edition in 2015, then returns the event to every four years. The article changes the rules for the Juegos Paranacionales: they are created on a four-year cycle, held right after and at the same venue as the Juegos Deportivos Nacionales, and the 2015 fourth edition is a one-time transitional exception. This article says the law takes effect on the date it is promulgated and repeals any contrary provisions.
