About this statute
This law celebrates the cultural work of the Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá and declares it part of the Nation’s cultural heritage. The Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro, held every two years in Bogotá, is declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation. The Ministry of Culture must support the promotion, internationalization, financing, development, preservation, and protection of the Bogotá Ibero-American Theatre Festival. The communications ministry, through ANTV or its replacement, may include annual budget items to promote and broadcast the festival on a national TV channel, coordinated with the corporation’s directors. Se crea una Comisión de Apoyo Financiero para impulsar y preservar el Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá. Se autoriza al Gobierno Nacional - Ministerio de Cultura a incluir la apropiación necesaria en el presupuesto o a impulsarla por cofinanciación para تنفيذ/realizar la ley.
