About this statute

This is the preamble of Law 1773 of 2016, which states that Congress enacted the law and that it creates article 116A and amends several articles of Law 599 of 2000 and article 351 of Law 906 of 2004. Using chemical agents or similar corrosive substances to injure another person is a criminal offence with prison and fines. This article removes the third paragraph of Article 113 of Law 599 of 2000. This provision criminalizes the illicit import, production, possession, supply, transport, trade, export, or disposal of dangerous, radioactive, nuclear, or corrosive substances and objects, with prison and fines.
