Statute overview

About this statute

This law regulates the plebiscite for approving the final peace agreement. The President of the Republic may submit the Final Agreement to the people through a plebiscite, if all ministers sign. Establece reglas para convocar, organizar y votar el plebiscito de refrendación, incluyendo plazos para el Presidente y el Congreso, campaign rules, and a ban on using state resources. The approved plebiscite decision is binding for the constitutional and legal development of the Final Agreement. If this law does not cover a matter, the provisions of Laws 134 of 1994 and 1757 of 2015, plus related consistent rules, apply.
