About this statute
This preamble identifies Law 1846 of 2017 and states that it modifies articles 160 and 161 of the Labor Code and adds other provisions. This article defines when work counts as day work and when it counts as night work. The Ministry of Labour must monitor the law’s daytime and nighttime work provisions and report annually to congressional commissions; it may ask business and worker sectors for relevant information. This article says the law takes effect when it is promulgated and changes the referenced provisions to the extent they are inconsistent.
