Statute overview

About this statute

This law creates and develops Benefit and Collective Interest companies (BIC). Any existing or future commercial company of any type established by law may voluntarily adopt BIC status. Companies that use the BIC designation must keep their ordinary tax obligations and include “BIC” or the full phrase in their corporate name. To adopt or end BIC company status, a statutory amendment is required, approved by the majority set by law or by the bylaws for amendments to the partnership agreement. Los administradores de sociedades BIC deben tener en cuenta el interés de la sociedad, el de sus socios o accionistas y el beneficio e interés colectivo definido en los estatutos.
