Statute overview

About this statute

This provision says certain seed lots may only be traded as sowing seed under the rules here, sets registration and recordkeeping duties for relevant businesses, and requires seed areas for certification to be notified for inspection on time. Registered companies or departments must get TystofteFonden approval before authorised sampling starts and must meet several quality, reporting, sealing, and recordkeeping requirements. Plantenyhedsnævnet may certify certain seed lots if the listed conditions are met, and registered businesses must follow plant passport rules for certain species. Certain seed lots may be traded before testing results, and some lots may be traded under specific certification and labeling conditions. Section 18 allows registered companies to trade certain seed lots and mixtures only under specified labeling, approval, packaging, and notification rules.
