Statute overview

About this statute

This regulation sets rules for monitoring salmonella in pigs, including definitions, sampling, laboratory testing, and reporting duties. Slagterier and certain pig herd operators must keep lists, sample and report salmonella-related tests, and follow specific monitoring rules. Fødevarestyrelsen can place herds in salmonella levels and grant dispensations. Companies and other legal persons may be subject to criminal liability under Chapter 5 of the Penal Code.
