Statute overview

About this statute

This provision says the law applies to precious metal goods and certain EU importers, gives key definitions, and lists exclusions for some older, medical, and circulating coin goods. Section 6 sets exemptions and rules for hallmarking precious-metal goods, name stamps, fees, and the Danish authority’s control powers. Sikkerhedsstyrelsen may authorize a legal person to perform or assist with control of goods made of precious metals. Sikkerhedsstyrelsen gets inspection powers, and a licensed legal person may exercise some of those powers. The provision also lets the minister set control rules and gives staff confidentiality duties. Ministeriet og Sikkerhedsstyrelsen får regler- og kontrolbeføjelser om ædle metaller og konfliktmineraler.
