Statute overview

About this statute

Large companies must carry out an energy audit that meets the order’s requirements by 5 December 2015. Some companies must carry out an energy audit at least every four years, and a company that becomes a large company after 5 December 2015 must do so within two years of being classified as large. Simplified energy-audit reporting applies only if the company’s annual energy use does not exceed 1,000 MWh and the relevant systems meet specified certification conditions. Et energisyn skal bruge ajourførte, målte og sporbare data, og virksomheden skal opbevare de anvendte data. A company must send documentation to Energistyrelsen to use the exceptions in § 5(1). If a building has a valid energy label based on an inspection, the label data may be used for an energy audit.
