Statute overview

About this statute

This provision says the regulation lays down rules for administering MitID for private persons and lets Digitaliseringsstyrelsen authorize certain bodies to act as registration units or support organisations. This section says the guidance is intended to help private individuals understand the detailed framework for the administration of MitID. A private person aged 13 or older may request MitID issuance in person at a municipal registration unit, at a bank if the bank offers in-person MitID issuance, or via digital self-service. Section 5 refers to special identity-verification rules during the migration period and identity verification at Kriminalforsorgen, but the sentence is cut off. A private person must be identity-verified with identification documents when requesting issuance of MitID, following the procedure in § 3 or as otherwise continued in the text.
