Bekendtgørelse om ændring af bekendtgørelse om Folkeuniversitetet

This text amends the rules for Folkeuniversitetet and says the change takes effect on 11 September 2021.

This section says that Folkeuniversitetsvirksomhed means teaching and lecture activity, specifically lectures and university courses.

A lecture normally lasts one double hour, and lectures may be combined into lecture series lasting 2-6 double hours or more.

University course teaching is normally carried out as double lessons, offered in course sequences lasting 6–12 double lessons or more.

As part of the activities under sections 2 and 3, excursions may be carried out.

Section 10 concerns remuneration of teachers and lecturers.

For lectures and courses, pay is calculated per teaching or lecture hour; one hour counts as 55 minutes, with 10 minutes available for a break.

Section 6 sets hourly and double-hour pay rates for lectures and teaching, requires the base amounts to be adjusted twice yearly, and adds 12.5% holiday pay for wages under this circular.

Hourly wage rates under § 6(1)-(3) also apply in the cases mentioned in §§ 8-11.

The provision sets payment amounts for planning and running a new lecture series or course, with higher payment for longer course activity and a possible board-set amount in one case.

Payment is made for participating in a panel discussion or similar event of at least two hours at the end of a lecture series or course, and the normal fee is one hour’s wage.

A lecturer or teacher is paid for participating in a one-day excursion in Denmark; the payment is 3 hourly wages for excursions up to 6 hours including transport, and 5 hourly wages for excursions of 6–9 hours including transport.

Arrangøren skal betale forelæsere eller undervisere, hvis et offentligt programlagt foredrag eller kursus aflyses mindre end 10 dage før start.

Lecturers and teachers are entitled to hourly and daily allowances and reimbursement of travel expenses under the rules for state civil servants.
