Statute overview

About this statute

This provision says the nature protection law aims to protect nature and gives the Environment Minister powers to set detailed rules for certain protected nature types and related procedures. Section 9 sets several coastal, dune, lake, forest, monument, church, and Natura 2000 protection rules, with ministerial and municipal powers to make exemptions, give orders, and require notice. Miljøministeren og kommunalbestyrelsen får flere beføjelser om skilte, reklamer og adgang til naturarealer, og offentligheden har adgang til visse strande, skove og andre arealer med flere begrænsninger. A conservation case may be brought by the environment minister, the municipal council, or Danmarks Naturfredningsforening, and the environment minister may give assistance to certain bodies on request. The Environment Minister or municipal council may impose a temporary ban on using a property or creating conditions that conflict with a planned conservation order.
