Statute overview

About this statute

The provision lists who may apply for housing support and when some applicants are treated as pensioners or as receiving boligsikring. Pensioners’ housing support is called “boligydelse” in the law, subject to § 3(2). Boligstøtte kan være afskåret eller forsinket i visse tilfælde, og Udbetaling Danmark har pligter ved bortfald og genberegning. The provision refers to people in certain collective housing arrangements and to calculating each resident’s actual share of the total housing costs. Section 18 sets how housing costs are counted for housing support in collective housing, including area limits, higher limits for severely mobility-impaired applicants, and a 20,800 DKK per-person annual cap with listed exceptions.
