About this statute

This regulation sets rules for water quality, monitoring, water quantity controls, consumer notice, and supervision of water supply systems. The supervisory authority sets and reviews a water-supply control program, can deviate from certain parameter lists if a compliant risk assessment exists, and must extend controls when local conditions require it. If annexes change before the program is updated, water suppliers must follow the changed annexes. Myndighederne fastlægger og kan ændre vandkontrollen, og vandforsyningen skal få prøver analyseret på akkrediteret laboratorium og straks underrette ved manglende kvalitet. If the water does not meet the required quality standards, and the problem is not caused by a building’s or company’s pipes or water installations, the municipal council must take steps to make the unlawful condition lawful again.
